We all have ideals in our lives.  These are important to move us on as we go through our daily routines.  These direct our human behavior and our plans.  We conduct ourselves based on these ideals 

As Christians, what should our ideals be?

Mark 12:28-30 says...
"One of the scribes, who came forward and heard them disputing and saw how well He had answered asked Him: 'Which is the first of all the commandments?' Jesus replied: 'The first is this: Hear O Israel. The Lord our God is God alone. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.'"

The gift of tongues... a desirable gift from God... a gateway to the charismatic dimension... 

1Cor.12:8-10
"To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophesy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and still to another the interpretation of tongues."

1Cor 14:5
"Now I should like all of you to speak in tongues."

Acts 2:4
"All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them."

1Cor. 14:2
"For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God. Indeed, no one understands him; he utters mysteries with his spirit."

Rom. 8:26
"In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express."
